We arrive in Florence

The long flight from New York made everyone jet lagged so the next few days were foggy.  The first night, however, my roommate, Eva, and I walked across "the pit" in order to locate a sim card for my new POS phone.  It was pretty much unsuccessful, but we got a glimpse into the city center.

We also ate a nice dinner with the professor... food was amazing!  

Eva's friend Ashley, whom I had previously had a class with, was visiting family in Italy and showed us around Florence.  The Duomo, Piazza Vechio, Piazza Republica, and various foodie and clothing gems were visited.
