Wine, Olive oil, Balsamic Vinegar tasting / Visit to an artisan leather workshop and school

We were lucky to go to a nice wine tasting complete with cheese, chianti jam, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil tasting. It was yum and the dude knows what's up.  He sells to some restaurants in the NYC.
could use a style lesson or two. meh.

Paola's Birthday

Chelsea, AKA Paola, turned 21 on Monday, the 17th.  Dinner: amazing! went to the club n there was a NY DJ and it was pretty tight.

Day Trip to Siena

Took the bus to Siena on Friday the 14th.  The Duomo was so craaay!  My roommate and I did a tour of the Siena Duomo, the Baptistery, the Crypts, and a museum of Icons and Gothic religious paraphernalia (of which you can climb a spiral staircase to the top of and get incredible views).  Also went to the Piazza del Campo, as sunny sort of fan-shaped square. I picked up a great black metal eye mask in Siena, too.

Piazza del Campo- this building is the town hall or something... yeah, i'm that good.

Also the Piazza del Campo.  It was so sunny and awesome!  there were bunches of rebel high-schoolers smoking here. but, I'm sure their moms don't give a crap, making the rebellious part null.

The dumb pigeons were just chillin on the piazza, too.  Rays all around, yo!

The next three are pictures taken in the museum.

I thought this was the way to the bathroom.  Turns out it was a spiral stairway to the top arch with an incredible view. Also scared of heights... but I ain't no pussy!

The view from on top of the arch.  It was incredible... best view I've had of Italy thus far.Siena countryside is breathtaking!

The walk down to normal time.

  To the Crypts!

The Crypts: there were glass floors looking do "the depths." I freaked a little when i was on it.  There is a pic on my facebook.

Paintings on the wall in the Crypt

The Siena Duomo-- so Gothic and gorgeous! The carving, painting, sculpture, floor: all siiiick!

The two pictures above are of the dome.

There was still a nativity scene in the domo and it was pretty large.  all life size.  There was also no use of flash so I couldn't capture a lot of the great design.
